Todd Staples : “We must forge a new path to preserve the promise of America”

We must forge a new path to preserve the promise of America.

Our porous border is not only allowing violent drug cartel members to invade the United States and poison our future with illegal drugs, but it has created a thoroughfare for millions who have come looking for work in the shadow of our laws, exploiting a failed immigration system that amplifies the insecurities of our border. My experiences working with citizens along the Texas/Mexico border, employers across the state and policy leaders across the entire nation inspired me to write a book to discuss this monumental problem.

Broken Borders, Broken Promises provides conservative, practical approaches to securing our porous borders with broad and strategic immigration reform.

The Obama administration is attempting to lead us down a path we have been down before that will do nothing other than continue to “kick the can down the road.” The time has come for real solutions to a problem that can no longer be ignored. It is critical we refuse to allow the failures of our past to haunt our nation’s bright future.

The book’s foreword is written by Fox News contributor Robert Scales, a retired U.S. Army Major General and former Commandant of the US Army War College who has been a valuable friend to me in this journey to set the national record straight.

All net proceeds of the book’s sale are being donated to causes to secure our border, support our law enforcement and foster ideas to reform our failed immigration system.

I encourage all who are concerned about our broken borders and failed immigration system to learn more about how we as a state and country can come together and not abandon our beliefs, but find real conservative solutions to an issue that can no longer be ignored.

May God bless you and Texas,

P.S. I really think you will like the cover of the book. The artwork of the Statue of Liberty used in the cover design was drawn by my wife Janet.
