Waco Tea Party Showcases Powerful Speakers at annual BBQ

Waco,TX– On a partly cloudy day, with thunderstorms in the forecast, the Waco Tea Party and loyal supporters rallied at the park near the Twin Bridges on N.  HWY 6.

It was a day to celebrate and a day to reflect on the efforts made by the organization to be the watchdog on taxes, and fiscal issues.  The Tea Party was putting on the BBQ, and by 2:15, the people started filling the pavilion.

Steve Harris, a key organizer of the event, wasn’t sure if people would come out, since it was Baylor’s homecoming, but threat of thunderstorms or missing the Baylor game did not overcome the desire for Conservatives in the Waco area to come together and listen to some incredible speakers.

Rep. Louie Gohmert, (R-TX) and Rep. Bill Flores (R-TX) both spoke about the issues facing this nation.  Gohmert told of the situation in Washington, connecting with the people in attendance.  James Golden, AKA “Bo Snerdley” of the

Rush Limbaugh Show was with Rep. Gohmert, promoting a Conservative PAC.  He agreed to visit with the Waco Tea Party, enjoy some BBQ and talk about the Presidential Election.

Golden, with his powerful voice, captivated the audience with his passion and love of this country.  He talked about the Black community, and why he broke the mold and identified with the Republican Party.

We laughed, and we caught up with people, eating brisket, with all the trimmings and homemade dessert.
